Introduction

Working as a freelance translator since 1992, Francis Auquier offers specialised translation and linguistic consulting services.

Besides being a graduate from the Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes (ISTI, now a departement of the ULB, Université libre de Bruxelles) for French, German and English, Francis Auquier has also been a sworn translator (certified translator) in Brussels since 1994.

He works for Belgian judicial authorities, private individuals (translation of certificates and other official documents), lawyers' firms, as well as fellow translators and international translation agencies.

A large part of the projects he handles also deal with subjects other than law, such as finance (financial statements, annual reports, prospectus, key investor information documents) and technology, with special interests in industry (aeronautics, automotive, transport, supply chain, production and manufacturing processes), energy (industrial plants, renewable energies), telecommunications (networks, fixed and mobile equipment, data communications), information technology (hardware and software, enterprise software packages, ERP, CRM) and electronics (industrial installations, hi-fi systems, AV).
